The “Film- und Medienwissenschaftliche Kolloquium”/The Film and Media Studies Colloquium (ffk) is an event organized and hosted by junior researchers for junior researchers that has been taking place annually at a different university and in a different city.

Goethe University Frankfurt invites you to participate in the 37th Film and Media Studies Colloquium (FFK).
From March 20.-22. 2024, employees of the institute of Theatre, Film and Media Studies (TFM) hosts this open scientific platform for current research topics from film, television and media cultural sciences in cooperation with colleagues from Philipps-Universität Marburg.

You can register for the ffk regardless of the form of participation (with or without presentation) until March 6th via this link.

The ffk does not charge a participation fee.

The program can be found here.

Accessibility
The ffk is a networking opportunity for young academics in film and media studies, and it is of great importance to the organizing team to make participation as easy as possible for all. The organizing team believes that far too often, important voices in academia are not heard because academics with disabilities, chronic illnesses, care or parenting responsibilities, etc. do not have the same opportunities to network. The organizing team would like to actively counteract this. Therefore, the team invites you to inform them of any specific requirements you may have during the registration process, so that they can make necessary arrangements to ensure your comfort and participation.

Acommodation
Accommodation is to be organized independently. You are welcome to utilize the “Wohnungsbörse”/accommodation forum which we have created on the padlet for this purpose.

Participation in the supporting program
During registration you can state on which days you intend to participate in the Kolloquium and when you would like to participate in the supporting program. Details on the supporting program can be found in the registration form.
