Call for Short- and Medium-Length Film Competition - Deadline 15.05.2016
LUCAS - International Festival for Young Film Lovers, Frankfurt 18.-25.09.2016

LUCAS - International Festival for Young Film Lovers presents in its program films - innovative both in their aesthetic form and in their content. It is looking for outstanding productions which appeal to young film lovers of various ages. This includes films made specifically for young audiences as well as films on account of their form and content.
Thereby we are open for all genres: Arthouse narratives, documentaries, animation, experimental, hybrid forms ...

  • The awards are decided upon two international juries - consisting of children, young adults and film professionals.
  • One award of 2000 Euro will be given for the best short- or medium-length film in the section from the age of 8 years.
  • One award of 2000 Euro will be given in the best short- or medium-length film in the section from the age of 13 years.

Conditions

  • The film has not been presented before in a festival or other public events in Germany and is not available for public viewing on the internet.
  • Only entries that can provide a DCP screening copy with English Subtitles will be accepted.
  • Only films which have been produced between 2014 and 2016 are eligible.
  • Duration short film: max. 30 min. / Duration medium-length film: max. 60 min.
