NO FRAMES – THE BASIC OF INTERACTIVE NARRATIVE AND VR FOR FILM MAKERS, 11:30 - 13:00, Festival Center

What do film makers need to start their own interactive productions? How do design, production and financing work? What are the challenges? In this lecture, Daniel Wagner, Creative Director and co-founder at Monokel, gives a crash course for film makers who want to explore new ways of telling their stories.

CHERNOBYL - VR PROJECT, 14:00 - 16:00, Festival Center

CHERNOBYL VR PROJECT is an interactive virtual tour showing aftermath of the biggest environmental disaster caused by human. With help of photogrammetry, laser scanners, drones, 360 spherical movies and photos, The Farm 51’s crew recreated parts of radiated Exclusion Zone into a real-time application done on Unreal Engine 4.

EXPLORE VR, 16:00 - 18:00, Festival Center

At The Farm 51, we believe that virtual reality is not only about entertainment. It is a fast developing technology which can serve as an excellent tool also when it comes to addressing important social issues.

MIRACLE Screening, 18:15, Caligari FilmBühne

A pig farming collective in rural Lithuania is coming apart at the seams. While director Irena attempts to maintain the farm, home to the former record- breaking sow “Curly Tail”, the staff and stakeholders have long since given up on the place, as has Irena’s husband. Then US-American Bernardas bursts into the midst of this post-Soviet early 90s hopelessness with his red Cadillac and his plan to buy the run-down farm.
